It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on this blog, which has really been down to the fact that I haven’t been doing a whole lot of travelling, or if I have, it’s been too brief to really find the time to post. After my fabulous trip to my beloved New Orleans last year the days seemed to be filled with a never ending series of thesis drafts and essays. Once that was all out of the way, work took over and things have been on the back-slide ever since.
But let’s not get caught in a downward spiral, because this is ultimately a happy story…
I’d had this wonderful idea to start fresh with a new blog, one not so reliant on be being able to travel and post fun stories and photos from my adventures; but considering that this was my first blog and as such, I cannot bring myself to let it go, I think a reboot is perhaps the better option. I mean, why start something new, when something old can be refashioned? Are old friends not the best friends?
As such, I’ll be moving away from a purely travel style format and will be talking more about whatever is interesting to me on any given day. I hope that those of you who have visited and followed this blog will continue to stick around. I can’t guarantee that you (or anyone else for that matter) will get anything out of the random musings that are bound to pop up from time to time, but you never know. I really hope to have some exciting road-trips again in the near future, which I can of course share for their historic value and scenic beauty but in the interim, let us turn our focus to the many other weird and wonderful things that can pass through life – many of which can be encountered from the comfort and warmth of your favourite arm chair.
